I always feel guilty when I go days between posts...
I'm sorry. It's been a while since my last post. I wish I could say that I've been busy, but it's actually quite the opposite. I'm at a bit of a lull in my schooling right now, currently lodged between the panic attacks that are midterms and finals. I have a philosophy test in nine days, and I'm not quite ready to mentally prepare for that burden.
Lately I've been enjoying some of the lazier things in life, and it has reminded me of a time, only a few short years ago, when I could not do anything for a whole Saturday (and Sunday!) and it wouldn't matter. I was kind of happy to get that back this weekend. There was no homework, only free time, and it was blissful. Tomorrow, of course, that will all be gone, and I'll be back to the usual grind.
Mondays are always tough. I go from a full morning of class to work, from 1-4, and then on to volunteering from 5ish onward, usually until 9 or 10, but occasionally later. Don't get me wrong, I love my work, and the place that I volunteer, but it does make for a hassle. Monday is then immediately followed by three days of labs, and then a (relatively) easy Friday. Usually I compensate for a slack Friday by having boyfriend over on Thursday. He's away, so I suppose I'll watch Grey's Anatomy alone this week.
This past Thursday, I did have a job interview, which I am using as an excuse for mentally checking out the rest of the time. I feel like I did really well, and this was my first choice if I were to take any of the jobs I applied for, so I'm feeling hopeful about a coming offer.
Other than that, things have been awfully slow. I watched a bit of TV. I've developed a bad habit of being nearly nocturnal (it's 1:30 in the morning, and the night is very, very young). As a sort of tangent, I dated a guy about a year ago who also brought out some bad sleeping patterns in me. We were doing long-distance and all night skypes were part and parcel of the game...I've been thinking about him a lot lately (not romantically or anything), is that sort of psychologically related? I was never very good at psych.
In the plans for the future, I have a post about Mad Men in the works, as well as posts about some more personal/inspirational stuff like dealing with people you hate and separating out school and home.I was also doing a post about National Eating Disorder Awareness Week, but the week's over, and I didn't finish it. So...I guess I'll ask you guys: should I finish it, and post it anyway, or forget about it for another 11 months and 3 weeks? I was also going to do another Glymm box one for this month (when it shows up), plus an update on the new season of Spartacus.
Speaking of Spartacus, a viewer from Russia named Alex told me that I should watch Game of Thrones since I like Spartacus. First of all, I'm sorry I didn't reply to your message yet...this is your reply. Secondly, I like Game of Thrones too. Maybe I'll post about that before the new season starts (April 1!).
I suppose I'll go now, I'm trying to get my sleep worked out, because I do have class tomorrow. Have a great night. I'd love to hear from you :)
