Five Beauty Tips to Live By

Hey guys! So these are my five beauty tips that I feel are the most important to me. They may seem common sense to some people, but these are my five must-dos for every single day.

1. Use sunscreen (SPF) on the important parts, at the very least.
The important parts being your face, neck, chest, and hands. I know that a lot of people use SPF makeup and such on their face, but the real tell of how old a woman is is to look at her hands and chest.   Don’t forget to layer them in sunscreen before going out, even on a cloudy day.

2. Take off that makeup!
It settles into your skin at night, and can cause breakouts and premature wrinkles. You don’t want to look older than you have to! Remember to wash it off at the end of the day to avoid this.

3. Keep your hands clean!
Have you ever thought about how much you touch your face? It’s a lot. This can cause breakouts and spread germs onto your face. Wash your hands very frequently, and try not to touch your face as much.

4. Get out and exercise!
Exercise helps every part of your body, and it definitely gives you that dewy energetic look that is so in right now. I’m not saying that you have to be thin, but if you are healthy, it shows in both your body and face. Cut the junk out of your diet. Treats every once in a while are great, and definitely necessary, but don’t overdo it. And while you’re at it, start drinking water: a ton of it. Doctors can’t agree if you really need 8 glasses, but I usually stick with at least one litre per day, plus an extra 500mL for each hour of exercising I’m going to do as a minimum. That works for me, find what works for you. Disclaimer: I am not a medical professional. It is highly recommended that you seek a doctor’s advice before embarking on any new exercise plan or diet.

5. Go through your makeup frequently.
Makeup does expire. Anything that changes color, texture, or smell is probably going (or has already gone) off, and you should get rid of it. These are all tell-tale signs that there is some kind of germs hanging out in your cosmetics, and you don’t want to smear that all over your face.
