Essence Lip Color

I was going to do kind of a fun post today, but unfortunately, I'm not terribly well currently. This sort of ruined my plans. Therefore, today, as a substitute, I have my very last (!) Essence product before the spending ban happened. It’s pretty quick, because there’s not really much to say!

I’ve been fiddling with this lipstick for the past couple of weeks. I was really unsure about it, because both the color is out of my comfort zone, and the lipstick, at only a couple of dollars is a bit of a gamble. I like Essence, but even mid-range lipsticks miss the mark.

Slowly, but surely, I’ve come around. I like it a little bit more every time I wear it. It’s a bright pink color. The actual shade name is “Like a Lady”. I know that neons are in this year, so I’m happy to get in on it. The lipstick is smooth, creamy, and has a slight vanilla scent. In terms of wear, it does a pretty good job. I would say that I can wear it for about three hours. I know, that’s not incredibly fantastic, but it’s respectable for something that cost me $2.99. In that same ilk, there are lipsticks that have more product, but none that are this cheap. It goes on creamy a opaque, and generally has a good color pay-off.

Overall, there are lipsticks that are better than this, and ones that are worse. This is a great line if you’re looking to do some experimenting with colors that you probably don’t want to splurge on until you’re sure that they are for you. You guys all know that I love Essence, and this product is worth the couple bucks.
