Glossybox Unboxing | October 2015

Another month, another Glossybox. This month features a fabulous box design from Jamie Lee Reardin, who does awesome line illustrations. This month is Parisian themed, featuring cult French brands, and the box blends in with that perfectly.

So beyond the box, what’s inside?

Lollipops Makeup Paris Nail Lacquer in Voyage a Paris

Statement nails are all the rage this season and Lollipops Make Up Paris has created just the right shade to keep you trending from workout to night out. A quintessential color that never goes out of style, this red hue will become a staple part of your beauty routine.

Full size: $10

I love this color. It goes on opaque and glossy immediately, and wears really well. No smudges no chips! There are so many red nail polishes. Did I need another? Probably not. But I love it.

De Bruyere Paris Red Lipgloss

Retrat to centuries past and allow yourself to be transported to the famed Moulin Rouge with this bright, Parisian-inspired red lipgloss. Long lasting and highly pigmented, with this on your lips you’re sure to be the center of attention.

Full size: $17.50

This is definitely more pink than red, but it’s a nice lipgloss just the same. It’s not too thick, not too thin. It is intensely glossy, if that’s what you’re into. Like any lipgloss, you’re going to get transfer onto coffee cups and things like that, but it’s not worse than any other lipgloss. I found it to be moderately wearing, with about three or four hours between applications, more if you’re eating. It has a slight vanilla taste/smell, but it’s not super noticeable for those of you with sensitivities to that.

Phyto Phytokeratine Repairing Thermal Protectant Spray

Too busy to fuss over a time-consuming hair routine? All you need is a quick spritz of this heat-protection spray prior to styling and you’re on your way! It detangles, protecs hair from heat and breakage while preventing future damage. Say goodbye to fried, brittle locks!

Full size: $32
Sample size: $6.40

I had heard about this brand from just about every blogger and youtuber that I keep up with. Their hair and skincare is legendary. I got so excited when I saw this in the box. This definitely makes your hair more moisturized and shiny, but does have a little bit of a residue that it leaves behind. It depends on whether that bothers you or not, but I’ll probably use this up and then go back to my regular stuff.

Maison Francis Kurkdjian Aqua Universalis

Rooted in sophistication, this contemporary fragrance house exudes the indescribable qualities of traditional French perfumeries. Bergamot from Calabria, lemon from Sicily, and lily of the valley, are all native Italian notes that can be found in this scent. Both woodsy and citrusy, Aqua Universalis evokes the ideals of a modern Marie Atoinette.

Full size: $185
Sample size: $13

Scents are so personal, and hard to generalize, but I like this one. It's a little more mature than my usual, but I like the way it smells, and it lasts a long time.

Nuxe Gentle Exfoliating Gel with Rose Petals
Skin in the need of a little summer rehab? This exfoliating gel utilizes antioxidant filled lychee, roses, and ground walnut shells to exfoliate and eliminate dead skin cells. Gentle enough for even the most sensitive skin, your complexion will be radiant and ready to face the fall.

Full size: $24

Oh goodness. I love this so much. You can use it wet OR dry!? And it makes your skin radiant and baby’s butt soft!? It’s a little too good to be true. Since I got this, I’ve been using it every day. It’s really fantastic. If there is one thing in here that I would repurchase, it would be this. This is the thing. It’s a little pricey, but I think it’s worth it.

That’s this month’s Glossybox! I loved it, and it was worth a ton more than what you pay for to get it, especially with three full-sized products. If you would like your own, you can click here (not an affiliate link). Totally worth it in my opinion.
