April Boxycharm | First Impressions & Review

It's the end of the month, so that means that we need to talk about this month's Boxycharm. It's really good, no surprise there. Differently from usual, I used all of these items for the first time in the video below, so you're getting my 100% real first impression. If you want to read more about my longer-term thoughts, then scroll on!

Pur-lisse Lip Comfort $16

This advanced lip nourisher is enriched with Mango & Shea Butters, Jojoba & Rice Bran Oils and Vitamin E that richly hydrates and seals in moisture. This exclusive petroleum-free balm heals dry and cracked lips leaving them lush, soft, moist, and youthful-looking. Apply liberally whenever your lips need a little TLV. Wait for moisture to soak in. Use under lipstick/gloss for a smoother makeup application.

I haaaaate this. I can't tell you how much I hate this. I have yet to use a Pur-lisse product that I don't toss within a few days. Something about this brand just doesn't mesh with me. This is not an exception. It made my lips drier and tasted so bad. Do not buy.

Blinc Cosmetics Lash Primer $26

This lash primer builds volume and will have your mascara looking the blackest of blacks! This innovative silicone wand separates and lengthens while the blinc black lash primer coats lashes. Apply as many coats as desired within 60 seconds to achieve a foundation of fuller, thicker lashes. When mascara is immediately applied over top, a jet black, voluminous finish remains. Remove with any makeup remover.

Wow. This is so amazing. It pops my eyes open right away without adding another mascara on top. This stays on really well, so it’s definitely able to be worn on its own, rather than under another mascara. If you want crazy lashes, then add the layer of mascara on top.

Anderson Lilley Manhattan Beach Butter Hand Cream $24

Let your skin indulge in a luxurious and soothing blend of bergamot, citrus, white jasmine, Brazilian heliotrope, and musk. Apply to hands or dry patches on body as often as needed to hydrate and nourish your skin.

This is so marvellously silky and has the lightest floral smell. I really like the smell of bergamot, which I know is an acquired taste, so it may not be for everyone. This is extra thick (another love for me) and makes my hands feel amazing for days.

Your Minerals Eyeshadow in Brown Hypnotic $21

Create your glamorous look with Your Minerals Eyeshadow. It is 100% made of minerals and works perfect as a standalone eyeshadow, or blended together with other eyeshadows to create a more voluptuous effect. Start by dipping your eye shadow brush gently into the eye shadow jar. Apply your eye shadow to one lid at a time, starting on the inner corner and working your way out. Eliminate rough edges by blending on the eye lid from lashes to crease.

I think this might be the most beautiful eyeshadow that I own, no doubt. I loooove it. It's beautiful, long wearing, and no picture will ever do it justice. If you want the whole effect, you need to pack it on with a wet brush, or use a glitter glue, because there is a ton of fallout. Totally worth it for this beauty though.

Ofra Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick in Pasadena $19.90

Ofra Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick is one step full lip color that does not feather. It is creamy and soft in texture, moisturizing the lips and creating a long lasting lipstick effect. Contains antioxidants and Vitamin E. For best results, moisturize lips, then sweep color on using the doe-foot applicator.

I love Ofra liquid lipsticks. They're some of my favorite formulas. They don't dry out my lips as badly as other liquid lipsticks do (looking at you ABH), and they feel delightfully moussey. Unlike the last one I got, this color is definitely well inside my comfort zone.

That's it for this month! I'm in love. Except for you, Pur-lisse. You suck. If you want your own Boxycharm, you can get one here. It's $21 per month, and worth every penny.
