January Favorites 2017

It feels like I haven’t posted my monthly favorites in months. Maybe it has been months...at least since the beginning of November. There have been lots of changes, subtle and not-so-subtle, and I’ve been trying out some new (and old) things that have really become major staples in my day-to-day makeup rotation. And there’s also a quirky favorite or two...just ‘cause. Almost everything is pretty afforable too...a definite plus.

Face Secrets Dual Ended Cotton Applicators

Fancy q-tips from Sally’s, essentially. These guys are awesome for cleaning up an eyeliner wing, or dabbing away fallout. It was one of those things that I said that I didn’t need until I had it...and now I use them all the time.

Elf Angled Eyeliner Brush

I go back and forth between liquid liner pens and gel eyeliner in a pot. If I’m going for a gel liner l use this brush every time. The angled end makes it easy to create a flawless wing very fast...perfect for the morning rush.

ColourPop Peach Collection

I just did a post on these, so I won't ramble too much...my favorites are the Ultra Matte Lip in Instigator, and the SuperShock eyeshadows in Crimper and Cornelious.

NYX Brow Gel in Chocolate

I’ve been back to the bold brow. I feel like this is the best color match for me. My only complaint is that the packaging makes it hard to get the amount of product right...it’s easy to use too much. I really like the way that it looks and feels, and it is fairly easy to control. Easily a favorite for me.

Cover FX Illuminating Primer

This came from my Sephora Play! last month (link here) and I’ve been using it religiously since. It was a generous sample, and I’m finally running out. The fullsize might find its way to me soon. It gives my skin a natural, non-sweaty, non-oily glow that lasts all day and into the night. When I wear it, I also get more compliments on my skin than normal. Highly recommend.

L-R: Cover FX, Instigator, NYX Brow Gel, Crimper, Cornelious

Last favorite: Dinosaur Salt and Pepper Shakers

I wanted salt and pepper shakers. I had wanted them for a while. Cute ones though, not plain ones. I was talking myself out of an impulse buy at Target (so damn hard) when I saw these. I was actually looking at the T Rex Cookie Jar, but Charles talked me down into these. I love them. They are quirky and cute and fit our decor nicely. They’re still available if you’re at Target and need a little something extra.

There you have it, my monthly favorites. What are your favorites this month?
