Everyday Cait

November in Review

November always feels like it’s moving too fast because it seems like a blur of holidays and days off work and sales and advertisement. At the same time, it feels so slow. It feels like the midterm elections were like ten years ago, when it was really just a few short weeks ago. Anyway, now we’re on the race to the end of the year, and that’s always the most exciting part of the year.

November was a really good month for me. I started to have some amplified struggles with my mental health, so I felt really good about getting that managed. Full steam ahead on planning the wedding as well. We did some Black Friday damage, and also celebrated Thanksgiving with my amazing family.

I was also feeling really great about my content this month. I was thinking a lot about how to make a place feel more like home and I feel like my house is feeling really home-like, especially as we move towards the holidays. The #1 that makes our place more homey is our precious baby dog, Biscuit, who has been on my Instagram Stories lately. She’s been doing really awesome and is curled up next to me as I type this. Her favorite thing is snow, and it’s made handling winter a lot easier when she gets so excited just to run around outside.

Next Month

December’s theme is going to be give. At this time of year, it’s extra easy to be generous because we’re surrounded by reminders to be giving, whether that’s the Salvation Army ringers or the Toys for Tots bin. We often consider giving to be monetary, but I also wanted to make it about being giving with your time, and your appreciation for others in your life. This is also my first year not doing blogmas, and instead I’m going to focus on making more videos. I know, you’ve said that before, Cait! I have, and I want to really commit to videos this month. Anyway, the plan so far is to spend Christmas day with my family, and then spend the following week visiting Charles’s family out of state. I also have some great content planned, including our final Christmas as unmarried folks, and some gift guides (of course!). I’ll see you all Monday for the first of the December posts!
