I try not to visit restaurants that are "strictly for the Instagrams"...but we do go to that kind of restaurant from time to time. One of these restaurants was Pajarito. Opening late last year, this place is located on West Seventh Street in St. Paul. Like a lot of trendy restaurants in Minneapolis-St. Paul, it doesn't take reservations at all. This no-reservations thing is incredibly upsetting, mostly because I hate waiting in line.

After a failed attempt, due to the long wait times, we got in. After we were seated, the waitress gave us some advice on how to navigate the menu and asked if we needed some drinks. The cocktails were really the jewel of the menu. They have more than a dozen of them, and they all look spectacular. Charles had the Paloma, and I had one called "The Trouble with Tipples". Both were spectacular, if a little strong. 

For the menu, there are tacos, served in sets of two, larger platters, and items from the grill. Chips are free, but salsa (of which there are six) will cost you. We ordered three salsas ($7), two tacos, two platillos, and a dessert. All together, including drinks and tip, the bill was $80. Everything we ordered was delicious, but the lime mousse we had for dessert was my favorite, closely followed by the Al Pastor tacos. I don't think you can go wrong though. We didn't make a bad choice all night.
