Sephora Collection Foundation: Swatches & Oxidation Test

Does it oxidize? A few weeks ago, I did a blog post with an oxidation test of a popular concealer (see it here!). A lot of you really liked it and wanted some more. I don’t know how often I’ll do these, but I had some samples of the Sephora Collection Foundation that I wanted to try out, so I thought I’d take some pictures while we were at it. The Sephora Collection 10 Hour Wear Perfection Foundation retails for $20, and is available here.

If you're not familiar, many base products like foundation or concealer, darken or change color when they dry exposed to air. When you're testing for a good shade match, it's a real bummer when you've bought a concealer you love, and then it turns bright orange five minutes later.

Today, I applied three shades of foundation to my arm. I took a picture immediately after applying, and then waited 15 minutes and took a second photo in the same lighting. The shades being tested are Light 10, Medium 25, and Medium 33. If you are looking for a darker or lighter color, the Sephora Collection range is very shade inclusive compared to other brands.

I think that it's safe to say that these colors stay true even after drying. Little to no oxidation!
