September Makeup Shakeup
Oh my goodness. It’s finally starting to be fall in Montana, where the nights have stopped being sticky and hot, and it’s looking like fire season is slowly retreating. We might even get rain this week!!
Either way, it’s time to switch out my makeup regimen. I’ve started to let myself get excited about forest green and mustard and cranberry.
I typically don’t wear a full-coverage foundation during the summer, but it’s starting to be something I reach for daily. Before I was living in my BareMinerals BB Creme. But now...my current favorite is the Make Up For Ever Ultra HD foundation in 115. It helps keep my face looking natural but still flawless. It gives me just enough coverage, but stays undetectable and lightweight. The most important thing is, of course, that it has a good shade match for me.
For eyes, I have been loving an easy eye look. This duo from Kiko in 12 has a light and a dark shade, so it works for me even when I’m doing my makeup in the reflection on my phone in my classroom ten minutes before the kids show up. I’m also a fan of Yes Please from BareMinerals. It’s a very blendable shimmery brown that is easy to throw on incredibly last minute.
I’ve also been reaching back for some extra moisture for my hair with the Briogeo Rosarco Milk Leave-In Conditioning Spray. I’ve been using this before styling, and then following up with my Kenra Spray Wax for some more texture and hold. When it gets a little colder, I usually don’t do a ton with my hair. I like my natural curls, and I find the combo helps pull them together.
Are you changing your makeup up for September? Not quite fall, but definitely not summer!
