Ipsy Glam Bag March 2015
Another month, another Ipsy Glam Bag!
Pixi by Petra
Mesmerizing Mineral Duo
Give your
eyes a shimmery summer glow with this Pixi by Petra Mesmerizing Mineral Eye Duo
in Apricot Glow made exclusively for Ipsy. These ultra-smooth shadows blend
effortlessly and can be used wet or dry, depending on your desired makeup look.
I see the Pixi brand at Target all the time, but it always
seems to be on that high end of drugstore that I can’t quite justify stretching
to. I was excited to get this for the opportunity to try out this brand, and I
was not disappointed. These two eyeshadows go on smoothly and are incredibly
pigmented. I did have some problems with staying power, unless using a primer,
but I don’t think that’s unusual for mineral eyeshadows. If you want to buy
this full size, it’s more than a duo and a little bit pricier than just the
two.

Nyx Butter
Lipstick
Pamper your
lips with a hydrating kiss of smooth Butter Lipstick in 22 luxurious shades.
The delicate texture of satin fused with the high color saturation creates an
even finish on lips that’s long-wearing and beautiful.
The NYX Butter Glosses are my holy grail of all lip glosses
ever made. The butter balms were…just okay, but the lipsticks! I love these.
Since I’ve gotten this one, I’ve gone and tested out several more to add to my
wishlist. Go try this out! They last a long time on the lips and this color
(Pops) is wonderful for a regular everyday look.

normal to dry skin.
This is a really thick moisturizer. It’s
almost like a face balm. Once it goes on, it sinks right in with no drying time
and feels fantastic. I will be the first to admit that I very rarely buy the
things that I get in these boxes, but I’ve already added this one to my wishlist.

Chella Ivory Lace
Highlighter Pencil
This fresh and pretty
neutral pencil will brighten and visibly lift your eyes when lightly applied on
the brow bone, dark circles, blemishes and red spots. In addition, this
multi-purpose pencil can be used to brighten and “open” the eye area by
applying to the water line and inner corners of the eye. Applying a thin,
blended line down the center of the nose creates the illusion of a thinner
nose. Perfect for highlighting a beautiful smile by eliminating dark shadows
and preventing lipstick spread by applying to the Cupid ’s bow and along the
lip line.
I wish I had liked this better. I love the pencil format. It
sharpens well and blends like a dream. Unfortunately, it is the exact same
color as my skin tone, so it is completely useless as a highlighter. It may as
well just be a crappy concealer. This may be good if you have a deeper skin
tone, but I just can’t make it work. It’ll go in my family-and-friends pile.

Skyn ICELAND Hydro Cool
Firming Eye Gels
When you're run down
and stressed out, the delicate skin under your eyes really takes a beating,
resulting in puffiness, dark circles and premature wrinkling. In just ten
minutes, this cooling transdermal gel patch infuses the eye area with highly
potent actives and Icelandic glacial water to firm, tone, brighten and reduce
the appearance of puffiness and wrinkles. Eyes are revived, soothed and
rejuvenated.
I have been a fan of the skyn Iceland range for probably two
years now. Their Nordic berry serum is amazing and gives you baby skin. I had
not tried this before, but they also have the “facelift in a bag” that has
different patches for all over your face. If we’re being honest, I used these
for the first time after St. Patrick’s Day when I needed a little perking up so
I could make it through the day. They start off cool, but then I found they
stated to warm a little as the ten minutes ticked by. Overall, I am happy with
the way they work, and if you need a little hangover remedy, they are a good
choice.

Overall a good box this month. Some things I liked, some things
I didn’t. So far Glossybox is still beating the pants off of everyone else
though!
