Mini Rimmel Lip Haul & Review
Hi everyone!
I was at my local Ulta
recently and there was a sale on Rimmel. I’ve actually never tried Rimmel lip
products ever! It’s one of those brands I’ve never found myself reaching for
when I’m at the store. I’m not sure why, but it seems like I have to talk
myself into looking at their stuff every time.

The one item that brought
me over to the Rimmel display was the Rimmel Lip Liner in Eastend Snob. This is
entirely because I’ve heard that it’s a dupe for Charlotte Tilbury’s Lip Treat
in Pillow Talk. I don’t own Pillow Talk, but I’ve had it used on me before and
it really is beautiful. It also happens to be hideously expensive. My student
budget isn’t accommodating that right now. I love this lip liner. It’s a
beautiful mauve-pink, and it stays on all day. I’ve never been much of a lip
liner girl, but this one has won me over completely. I’ll be heading back for
more.
I also bought three
lipsticks while I was out. The first of
these is one of the Moisture Renew formulas in Piccadilly Pink. I picked this
one out to go with the lip liner in particular. It lasts an average amount of
time on its own, but it’s locked in all day if I use the lip liner too. The
color also reminds me of MAC Syrup. It’s a good every day color, and I can see
myself using it a lot. It does have an artificial floral smell, but nothing too
overpowering.

I picked up two
lipsticks from the Lasting Finish by Kate Moss range. First is #111, Kiss of Life. It’s a fairly traditional red. I like my red lipsticks, and I had heard
great things about the Kate Moss line. If you want to look instantly put
together, red lipstick. Every time. This is another long-lasting one. I was
really worried about smudging, but this did fine even through dinner, which is
a difficult thing for a red lipstick to do. It has kind of a funny fruity
scent/taste, but I’m willing to deal with it because the color is so nice and
the finish is so pretty.
The last lipstick,
also Lasting Finish by Kate, is in #28. I hate it when they don’t have names.
This one is a paler natural pink. I was looking for something that was a little
more casual for day dates and running errands, taking the dog out, that kind of
thing. Unlike the other two, this had an even different scent. I’m not sure why
they are all so different and it’s weird. But similar to the other two, this
one has fairly good wear time and a nice finish on the lips. It’ll be a nice
change from my usual matte look.

a brand you just never reach for?
