Glossybox Unboxing | September 2015
Glossybox time is my
favorite time each month. The last month or two has been a little bit weaker
than normal, so I was excited that this month there was a lot more items that I
was really excited about.
Emite Make Up Artist Color Blush
Crave perfectly sculpted cheekbones? Seamless
create definition with this warm, peach toned blush. Infused with mica, its
intense pigments promote a natural, radiant glow.
Full size: $22
Sample size: $22
I find it interesting that this brand promotes mica in its blush, because
that’s a touchy ingredient for a lot of people. This is also very dark. In that
fine line of what blushes work for me, this one is right between what could be
a blush and what could be a bronzer. I think that this is going to be great to
keep around for when the darker fall lips come out and I need a bit more dark
color on cheeks to balance it out. You could wear this year round if you
weren’t as pale as me though. I think this would look great on someone with
olive-toned skin
Nails Inc
Uptown Nail Polish
Smoothing out any imperfections on the nail, this highly pigmented
formula utilizes a plumping agent to create a long-lasting, super glossy
finish. Its flattering dusty rose hue easily transitions from day to night
complementing every skin tone.
Full size: $14
Sample size: $14
I love this color for around the office and for professional
settings. It goes well with my work outfits (all of them!). It also has an
amazing formula. I find that Nails Inc is hit and miss with their polishes.
They’re either amazing or awful. Luckily this one is in the amazing category.
Definitely worth trying.
CoffeaScrub
Turns out, coffee
isn’t just for drinking. Bathe your way to glowing skin with a coffee scrub
that won’t put up with dry patches, stretch marks or poor circulation. Made
from all natural ingredients which include brown sugar, cocoa and cinnamon,
your skin will feel instantly smoother.
Full size: $16
Sample size: $8
I feel mixed on this
one. On the one hand, this scrub is incredible. It does bring out the glow in
your skin as it banishes dry patches. On the other hand, this is a sack of
coffee grounds. What.
Julep Luxe Up Your Lips in Sheer Coral
Let’s face it,
year-round lip hydration is a must. To combat dryness, Julep has combined
natural ingredients vitamin E and omega-rich pumpkin seed oil with a cooling
Zamac tip applicator to formulate a tinted gloss that soothes, hydrates and
plumps lips.
Full size: $24
Sample size: $24
I’m mixed on this. I
love the tip. It’s bery hydrating, and not sticky at all. The color though…it’s
not flattering. It’s just not. I’m not much of a lipgloss girl anyway, but this
one doesn’t seem to be one that I can use.
Biossance The Revitalizer
Squalane is a
naturally occurring emollient in the body that works to replenish and hydrate
the skin that can diminish in some as early as their 20’s. The Revitalizer uses
a plant-derived squalene to restore what was once already there. Dull skin will
be a thing of the past.
Full size: $58
Sample size: $4.64
I haven’t had much
luck with squalene-based products in the past, and until only recently, the
compound was unethically resourced. Now that plant-based squalane is available,
I was excited to give this a try. I’ve been having some seriously sry skin on
my nose, and this cleared it up within three days. Is it worth the hefty
pricetag? Maybe. I love it though.
As an added bonus, there is a also a coupon to Bauble Bar for 20% off. I've had my eyes on the a few things, so this is a nice bonus..
