June Favorites: Beauty & More!
Yikes. Another month has come and gone. It's hard to believe that 2016 is already half gone. It seems like just a few weeks ago that I was going through my hopes and wishes for the year ahead. Anyway. Let's not make this too sentimental. Here are the things that I've been loving for the past few weeks.
Farmacy Sleep Tight Firming Night Balm
I have been struggling with the humidity here in Minnesota. Coupled with being definitely not being a morning person, I've been working on that by primarily making sure that there are no obstacles in the morning. My lunch is packed, my clothes are laid out...and my skin is awesome. I put on a nice layer of this at night, and wake up with firm, refreshed skin, ready to jump out of bed and start my day.
got2b POWDER'ful
The humidity has been a real problem for my hair. I have been struggling to keep volume in my hair. The combination of super hot and super damp has left my strands looking limp. This powder helps fix that. It's silicone, so it can be used as a wax, if I rub it between my fingers. I also sprinkle it straight onto my roots and rub for an instant volume boost. The one downside is that it doesn't cause quite a lot of residue in the hair, so a clarifying shampoo is needed.
Malin+Goetz Mojito Lip Balm
Again, this summer has been crazy on my skin. My lips have been super dry. At night, I've been smearing a layer of this on. It has a subtle minty taste. I wake up and my lips can take even the harshest liquid lipstick.
Girlactik Precise Eyeliner Marker
This was a find from my Boxycharm this month. I love it. It's better than my Kat Von D and is almost as waterproof. I love stamping on a quick wing using the thin felt tip. I had been esitatant about ordering this online, but am SO glad I've gotten the chance to try it.
Hare Magic Lipstick
Okay, so this one is a bit random. It's been my most-worn lipstick for the past month, but it's pretty much impossible to get. I picked this up when I was in Morocco seven months ago and promptly forgot about it. You might think that's gross, but it seriously does not bother me. It hasn't changed color or texture, so that's fine by me. It's green, but when you put it on, it's suddenly pink! And it doesn't move. Boyfriend approved. The downside is, of course, that you don't know what you're getting until you put it on. Still love it though.
Those are my quick favorites for this month. What have you been loving so far this summer?
