Ulta Fall Haul

I went shopping. I stopped by Ulta because I have been seriously considering getting the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette, and I went in to have an in-person peek. Spoiler…I didn’t buy it. Yet. I’m still thinking on it. I only really really want one color, so I need to think about it some more. But then, as these things go, I stocked up on a few other things.

Becca Glow on the Go
I saw this kit and thought I’d grab it. The price was right. I didn’t jump on to the highlight bandwagon. Maybe it’s because of my oily-skin past, but I don’t really like the look. That said, when I see those pictures on Instagram of the girls with the fantastic glowing cheeks, I want that. This has both the Spotlight and the Pressed Shimmering Skin Perfector, both in Opal. I like the mini size too, because it feels like less of a commitment.

Real Techniques Brush Sets x2
You have seen some of these before…somewhere between Iowa, Minnesota, and Montana, my favorite eyeshadow brush went missing. I thought it would turn up. It didn’t. My best guess is that it’s living in a hotel room in Waterloo, Iowa, now. I picked up the essential eyes kit just to replace it, but I’m really loving having doubles of the rest of them. Less brush washing, am I right? I also picked up the Core Collection because all Real Techniques was bogo 50% off. I haven’t been as in love with my beauty blender lately, so I’ve been enjoying trying out some new brushes for my foundation.

Ardell Demi Whispies Lashes Twin Pack
These are everyone’s favorite, including me. Just replacing my stock.

Soap & Glory Peaches and Clean
Soap & Glory has never been accessible for me. It’s hard to find where I live, so I wasn’t interested in trying it. My Ulta has a new, big section, so I thought about it for a while. I was in the market for a new cleanser, and the one that I just finished was fairly harsh, so I wanted something gentle. I remembered that Fleur deForce had mentioned this, and I picked it up. I also love the way these products look. The vintage-modern theme fits my general style, and I like the way it looks in my bathroom.

Foreo Luna Play
This was an impulse buy. I did the Clarisonic thing and wasn’t particularly impressed, but I’ve heard that the Foreo Luna is better. This one is the travel-sized budget version of the Luna. It fits in the palm of your hand. It’s also unable to be charged…so when the battery dies, that’s it. The price point reflects that, but it still seems a little wasteful to me. We’ll see how it works.

Orly Breathable Nail Varnish in TLC
I saw these in a news story about new better-for-you nail polishes. I also liked that they don’t require a base or top coat. Slap them on and be done. I like this nice lilac color too. Is it the most seasonally appropriate? Not really. But I’m still going to wear it.

Maybelline The Falsies Waterproof Mascara
I was in the market for a mascara and needed a new one. This was one that I remembered liking some time ago, and thought I’d give it another shot.

So that’s what we’re working with now. I’ll be testing these things out over the next few weeks, so look forward to some reviews coming up.
