Travel Makeup Bag | February 2018

I’ve been doing a lot of travel this month – more travel this month than I would like to. It’s been helpful to just have a bag that is always packed and ready to go, so I don’t have to unpack it in between weekends. A quick breakdown of what’s in here:

Tatcha Pure One Step Cleansing Oil

This both a cleanser and a makeup remover. It’s astonishingly powerful and takes off even the most difficult waterproof makeup. It’s very pricey, so getting the minis is nice.

Origins Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask

I mentioned this in my recent favorites. It is an excellent exfoliator, as well as being able to spot treat any problem areas.

Origins GinZing Moisturizer

Origins is a favorite for me when it comes to skincare. The ginzing moisturizer is my favorite for an extra layer of moisture to keep everything looking hydrated and fresh. Driving long distances makes my skin look horribly dry. This is helpful because I can slather on a thick layer and just leave it for hours.

CoverFX Illuminating Base Primer

Again, adding to the moisturizing factor, this makes my makeup last forever, but adds an extra layer of luminous coverage that I really love having when I’m tired and cranky.

The Ordinary Coverage Foundation

This isn’t really a full-coverage foundation, but it falls into the medium coverage zone. My biggest need in foundation is a perfect shade match. This foundation is 1.1N matches my skin perfectly and looks natural.

CoverFX Custom Enhancer Drops in Moonlight

To help combat my dryness, or at least the appearance of dryness, I like to mix a drop or two of this into my foundation. It gives a high coverage foundation a little bit of a glow.

RealHer Do Your Squats Eyeshadow Palette

Okay, so this isn’t my favorite palette of all time. However, it’s compact and has all the colors that I typically can use for any look. The formula is alright. It’s not spectacular, but it strikes a good balance between compact and useful.

ABH Dip Brow in Soft Brown

Since starting the long and awful process of growing out my bangs, my eyebrows have suddenly become visible for the first time in three years. I have been using this to really define my brows and draw in sparse areas. At first, I thought it was overhyped…now I know it’s not.

Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Mascara

This is the mascara that I trust on trips because I have slept in it and woken up with it still in place. It also looks smoky, which helps make me look a little more put together on short notice.

Mac Lipstick in Syrup

This lipstick, as I have said time and time again, is the best. It’s an opaque plum that goes with everything. This is my third tube.

Dry Bar Triple Sec 3-in-1

When I travel, especially if I have somewhere to be straight off the plane, it makes sense to be able to refresh my hair and be on my way. I feel greasy and full of ick, and this makes my hair feel legitimately cleaner.

That’s my travel bag. What’s in yours?
