BOMB | Sale Saturday

Happy Saturday everyone! I’m back with a new Sale Saturday for you! Again, just trying to introduce you to some new brands that I love and I hope you do too. Last week, I talked about my favorite dresses and skirts from Boden, and this week, let’s talk about makeup.

I didn’t want to pick just one brand, so I picked a bunch. These are all Black Owned Makeup Brands (BOMBs). These are all products that I have personally tried and really loved. In this time when we’re all trying (or should be trying) to make sure that we are being inclusive in our everyday lives, we need to vote with our dollar.

First is Pattern. They make haircare for tight textures, but as a curly girl myself, I have found their hair serum and leave-in conditioner to be super helpful at taming down all of my frizz, especially in the summer humidity. So, just because it says it’s for tight textures, don’t be afraid to give it a try! The bottles are also super aesthetically pleasing.

I picked Uoma Beauty because they have the most stunning lip colors that I’ve seen in a long time. They come in a million shades, and the formula is fabulous. I love the Liquid Metallics for a gloss-like finish, but massive staying power and wearability. Juvia’s Place, if we’re being honest, does not make awesome base products in my opinion. I didn’t like the formula much, but the shade range is fantastic. What they totally nail is amazing eyeshadow palettes. I have the Nubian Palette and I use it nearly every day. It’s also only twenty dollars! It’s pretty neutral, but for some popping colors, the Zulu Palette can’t be beaten. Also only $20.

So, we have eyes and lips, but we need some face. Two words: Beauty. Bakerie. Their packaging is the cutest and their Instagram is amazing to follow. Everything is bakery themed and absolutely precious. The favorites that I have from here are the six-pack of blending eggs that come in an egg carton. You also get six for $18, and they are more than comparable to the Beauty Blender, and one of those retails for $20. I also love their InstaBake Aqua Glass Foundation. It comes in 30 shades, ranging from very deep to very pale, and does sit like glass. It leaves a totally flawless finish. I also love that the whole range has different undertones, so not everyone has to be yellow toned! To set, they also have the Face Flour Baking Powder, and it comes in six shades, including a translucent and a yellow, as well as four skin tones.

All of these are super affordable as far as makeup goes. I linked a few of my favorite pieces below, but they had nearly too many to choose from.
