FabFitFun Spring Edition
One of the subscription boxes that I love more than any other is my FabFitFun. It comes only once a quarter, (check out last fall and winter!) so I feel like they hit it out of the park every time. This month I received the spring edition, and I am excited to say that it was awesome as always. Here's what was inside.
The Fab
This box was super heavy on skincare, which I think is nice as we're coming out of winter. First up is the Murad Skin Perfecting Lotion ($40). Ive been using this in the morning every day and I've seen an improvement in my skin texture. I don't think it's the most remarkable moisturizer that I've ever used, so I'll probably use it up and then move on. I also got the ISH Lip Statement Palette ($42). It has twelve lip shades, 11 mattes, one shimmer. Good news? These are pretty. The bad news? They don't last. The shade I wore today didn't even make it to lunch. It's kind of inconvenient to haul around the whole palette, so it's not practical for every day.
Another item that was in the box is the Korres Guava Body Butter ($24). I had used it before, in a different fragrance. Korres makes lovely skin products, and this no exception. It had a light, fruity scent and sinks in quickly. There was also a bonus item from Dove in the form of their exfoliating body polish. I had not yet used it, but I've heard good things from other bloggers about it.
Last item is the Dermelect Cosmeceuticals Makeover Concealing Ridge Filler ($18). The tag says that you can use it as a base or a top coat, or for a nice sheen. Nice sheen, yes. Base coat? Hell no. My nailpolish didn't even last overnight!
The Fit
The only fitness item this month was the Physique 57 Massage Roller ($20). It has a textured, pokey surface to massage out your sore muscles and help with cellulite and scar tissue. When I first saw it, I didn't think that I'd like it. It's super useful though. It really takes all of the tightness out of my muscles at the end of the day and feels awesome.
The Fun
For a couple of fun things, I received a Free People x Understated Leather Starry Eyed Travel Mask ($40). I think a $40 eye mask is a little more indulgent than I would have regularly been. It's gorgeous though. It's sturdy, and made of a smooth vegan leather and microfiber. It's very comfortable to wear all night and blocks out any light. The stars are also adorable.
I also got this really pretty Anderson Lilly Sunset Collection Candle in Superbloom ($45). I love the beautiful copper exterior, but it also smells a little bit like Irish Spring soap. I'm still not sure how I feel about it, but I like the way it looks on our side table.
Another fun item is a reversible Rachel Pally Clutch in Paradise ($60). I am a big fan of this clutch. It's roomy, and looks springy and fun. I also like the yellow floral pattern and think it will go with a lot of things that I already wear. I'm excited to style it for spring. The reversible means that it can be worn with more or less of the floral pattern showing. Also in the wardrobe department is the Ettika Day Dreamer Tassel Earrings ($58). I will be the first person to say that these are not worth almost sixty goddamn dollars. I think that they're worth about $9.99. Charles hates these. He used phrases like "it looks like you got tangled up knitting" and "if you spent $58 on these, I'd slap you into next week, then wait". I don't thiink that they're that bad, just overpriced.
If you're interested, you can pick one up here. The box retails for $49.99 a quarter, and cheaper if you purchase an annual subscription. That link gives me no kickback, but will get you $10 off your first box!
