It’s the end of January, and it’s time to talk about my favorites! It’s been really exciting to see all of the new products that are coming out or going on sale after Christmas is over. I’ve been trying out a few new things, as well as a few old favorites.

Beauty

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil in StarFire

This has been a new color for me. It’s a warm bronze and it looks so soft and pretty. I don’t wear a lot of black eyeliner anymore because of how harsh it looks. This bronze is such a nice alternative.

Lancome Monsieur Big Mascara

I’ve been wearing this as my go-to regular mascara. It is a big volume formula and looks fantastic. My #1 problem with mascara in general is how easy they come off. This doesn’t budge at all. I sometimes have trouble getting it off without an oil-based cleanser.

Real Techniques Blush Brush

This has been my newest favorite brush in my kit. It’s a big, fluffy brush that’s so soft. It also picks up and blends product so well for a natural finish.

Garnier Fructis Jelly Leave-In

I got this in PR a few weeks ago, and didn’t think I would love it. It is a jelly. It’s jiggles. It feels really weird, but it makes my hair look fabulous. My curls are well-defined and beautifully soft. Charles is also using it now, and has been loving it while he’s in between haircuts…or a month overdue for a haircut.

Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask

I picked up a set of these around Christmas. My lips feel AWESOME. They’re soft and the winter wind can’t touch them. I also got some limited edition flavors that are tinted and have a maple and mint flavor. Yum.

Colourpop Lux Lipstick in LA Lady

I bought some of these earlier in the month, and I can’t believe it took me so long to pick some up. They are SO NICE. The packaging is luxurious and beautiful. They are so comfortable. I can’t feel that I’m wearing a lipstick at all. My favorite has been LA Lady which is on the dark end of nude. I really like that.

Style

Target A New Day Red Wool Coat

I was looking for a new coat that looked nice, but wasn’t too formal, and I found this one. It’s a nice to look at, and it’s a warm wool blend. It’s also a flattering cut, and I get a lot of compliments on it!

Target Fleece-Lined Tights

It’s cold. It’s winter. I wear a lot of dresses, and the fleece-lined tights from Target are the best! I don’t worry at all about my legs getting cold now.

Kitsch Gold Claw Clip

This has been my go-to hair accessory, whether that’s whipping up a quick bun or a half-up style. It’s pretty, but it also highly functional. Unlike a lot of other claw clips, this one is solid metal. It’s durable and stays put.

Life

That Defrost Spray

I don’t know what this is called. You spray it on the windshield of your car, and the ice goes away like magic. I love it. Winter has finally arrived and it’s been a lifesaver in the mornings.

KitchenAid Stand Mixer

I’ve been doing a lot of whipping up mousses and have been using this thing a TON. It’s one of the best gifts I’ve ever received and I use it ever three or four days right now.

Fake Engagement Ring (Yes, Really)

I love love love my beautiful Montana sapphire ring that Charles got for me. I LOVE it. I can’t say that enough. I love it so much that I don’t want to wear it when I travel or similar situations because I don’t want to damage it. I have a second ring that I received courtesy of Beverly Diamonds and I have been wearing it any time that I am worried about my other ring. It’s also beautiful and I can get that feeling of wearing a ring and not having that naked feeling.

Kitsch Hair Wrap

This is a fancy hair towel, and it’s changed my life. Okay, maybe not, but it’s made my hair so much better. This sounds so lame, but I’ve been washing my hair so much more now that I don’t have to sit with my wet hair out for literally hours, especially in the winter. Wrapping it up in the turban, which I can even sleep in. It’s also really nice material, and the design is super easy to use.

BarkBox

We get Barkbox every month. It’s a subscription box for dogs, and comes with three treats and two toys. They have really een hitting it out of the park these days. Their most recent box is viking themed, and is totally lovely. Biscuit adores Barkbox day, and I recommend it to every dog owner.

Bath and Body Works 3-Wick Candle in Midnight Blue Citrus

This smells like mango and that clean laundry smell. I really, really love the Bath and Body Works (or White Barn) 3-wick candles. They are the best ones I have found, and we really need to be able to go smell them all before we come home. Charles has some sensitivity to smells (I rarely wear perfume because of this), so we go together and he smells a whole bunch and then we buy a few at a time. This is my current favorite and I love how it makes our house smell clean and sweet without being too sickly.
