Reading Week!

Today is my first real 'vacation' day dince Christmas. My university holds spring break now, which is really unpleasant, but I really could use the break. Last spring break was really awful. I had a nasty breakup, and was left alone with my dad. Not that I don't love my dad, but he's not really touchy-feely, and likes to live off of corn flakes, bologna, and oatmeal for weeks when no one will cook for him.

Here, in Halifax, it's warm (relatively) and sunny, and there is no snow. Back at my parents' place, I hear that the world is a giant slushie mess. Dandy. My parents are always really skittish about me driving in the winter (I ran the car into the ditch once, almost four years ago), and that's not really going to help my case when I plead for the car. As you probably know, based on the amount of Transit Strike complaining I do, I don't actually have my own car. On PEI, however, the area that I live in doesn't have dedicated public transport, so you really need to have some sort of vehicle.

Oh well, we shall see when I get there.

Father is supposed to be here around six to pick me up (it's a 3-4ish hour drive), and then we'll be off. I packed up my clothes and other important items, and I'm ready to go! I even packed up Gerald, my frog, so that he wouldn't be alone all week. Don't worry, I never leave him by himself, but I have given him to a friend to watch before ^^

All in all, I'm excited to get home, and see my friends. Since high school, we've all been split up, and I don't get to see them as often as I'd like. In fact, out of everyone I went to school with, I only see two people (one from high school, and one from middle school) regularly.

It should be great :)
