A Riveting Friday Night with Toddlers and Tiaras

I wish I was joking.

On this delightful Friday, I can honestly say that I haven't done a damn thing. We're on to Transit Strike Day 2, and I'm starting to feel it.

Right now, I'm on my bed-couch-entertainment center (being in a dorm limits the amount of furniture you have), typing this, and watching what is possible the worst show on television. Some of the children on that show are so rotten, and a few of them really seriously look miserable the whole time. Right now there's one girl who is getting her eye makeup put on, while her mom screams "DO YOU WANT TO LOOK LIKE BEYONCE OR NOT?" It makes me sincerely hope that I'm a better parent than these folk when that time comes around. Something just seems wrong about a four year old who wears more makeup than I do. But then there's the good parts, like the girl who says she wants to be an octopus. Those kids do have their quirks.

In all honesty, today I'm not feeling so great, and I didn't have class, so I figured that I should just have a day off for ice cream and terrible, awful television. Tomorrow I really need to buckle down and get some work done, because the next two weeks are going to be dang tough. When I'm feeling really bad, I always put on my smiley face earrings that I got for super cheap at Claire's a few years ago. They always cheer me up.

Smiley Earrings :)

Hope you're all having a great day, and for those students, I hope midterms aren't skinning you alive.
