Product Review: Maybelline Baby Lips
I devour YouTube beauty videos at a rate that you wouldn’t
believe. We’re talking hours per week. Yeah. It’s a lot. It’s actually a little
embarrassing. I think it is anyway. I find them really relaxing! If you, like
me, tend to watch a lot of these videos, I’m sure you’ve heard about Maybelline
Baby Lips lip balm. I hemmed and hawed about for a long time, wondering whether
it would really live up to the hype. One day last week, I was walking through
my local drugstore, and there was a huge Baby Lips display. They were on sale
for only $3! I couldn’t really resist that, so I took home a tube of Peach
Kiss.
Very lightly nude with a bronzy sheen. |
I’ve really been loving it, and I feel like it is worth the
press and adoration it has been getting. I’ve been wearing it a lot on those
low makeup days when I usually do just mascara moisturizer and a lip balm. It’s
that nice nude my-lips-but-better color. It has a nice bronzy glitter to it,
but it isn’t overwhelming at all. It also has SPF 20, so it’s easy to throw in
your bag on the way to the beach or the park, so you can have some nice
protection from the sun. It lasts a long time, so reapplying is infrequent. Not
only was it inexpensive, you do get a lot of product for your money. The smell
is fantastic. It has that sweet peachy smell that reminds me of summertime and
being outside in the grass. Positively lovely.
I really can't speaky highly enough abot this. It seems like it will be a fixture in my beuty bag for a while. This is the only color that I have, but picking up some more will definitely be on my to-do list! The other colors it comes in are Quenched (clear), Peppermint (clear), Cherry Me (red), and Pink Punch (light pink). Maybe I'll grab Cherry Me next for something a little more daring.
Just the Peach Kiss, nothing else. |
Let me know if you guys have tried any of these!
