Target Beauty Box | August 2015
After trying out my Walmart Beauty Box, I
was excited to finally get my hands on a Target Beauty Box. Target isn’t a
subscription, so when you see them available on the website, you have to buy it
really quick before it sells out. The good news is that you get to know what’s
in it before you pull the trigger, and I passed on the past two boxes because
they weren’t good enough. I was excited to finally see one that I liked, and
jumped on it.
Similarly to the five dollar Walmart box,
this box is $7, all shipping included.
Inside this box, there were six pretty cool
items.
Crest
3D Whitestrips 1 Hour Express
I use the Crest Whitestrips fairly
regularly, so this wasn’t a huge change for me. Keeping them on for an hour
though? Brutal. About to get gross here, folks. You drool everywhere. It’s an
icky amount of drooling. Then, on top of that, because these are so intense (an
hour instead of ten minutes at a time), that they make your teeth really
sensitive. I don’t have sensitive teeth, and this was still really bad. That
said, God my teeth look great. White and wonderful, and without needing to do
this for a while, I hope.
CoverGirl
SuperSizer Mascara
This is a fullsize mascara, which is great.
I heard mixed things about this, so I was excited to test it myself and dsee if
it lived up to my expectations. It is amazing.
I have used it every day, and I don’t say this lightly, but I think that this
might be my holy grail mascara. It is that
good. No smudging, even though it isn’t waterproof, and awesome
nearly-falsie lashes. Go try this. Do it.
Fekkai
Pre-Soleil Hair Mist
This is a sunscreen for your hair to help
protect it from damage. It also helps prevent your color from fading and adds
shine. I had my hair colored way back in May, so I’m not too worried about
maintaining the color now. At the same time, my hair is already pretty damaged,
so taking good care of it is important at this point. We still have some sunny
days left, so I’m excited to use this.
Olay Active Botanicals Moisturizing Toner
I don’t use toner because they’re usually high in alcohol, and
that takes the moisture right out of my skin. I tried this one out, hopeful
that it would be different, rather than sucking the moisture away. This does
still have alcohol in it, but I haven’t noticed it drying my skin out so that’s
definitely a plus. I’m going to keep using it for a while, since it hasn’t done
any harm yet.
Olay Active Botanicals Day Lotion
This came just in the nick of time as I had just finished off my regular day lotion. So far this works just as well as the one I was using before, and at a fraction of the price. My skin has been feeling sad and combination-y lately, and this has been helping get rid of that feeling first thing every day.
Hair Food Moisturizing Mask (Full Size)
My
hair could use all the extra moisture because it’s already prone to damage
(#curlyhairproblems) as well as struggling with all the problems associated
with heat styling. This mask smells wonderful and is fantastically creamy. It
also doesn’t break out my back and shoulders like other hair masks do. Totally impressed.
The only downside is that I haven’t been able to find this in my local target.
I’m not sure where they have been hiding it…
Did
you pick up this Target Beauty Box? Will you have your eye out for the next
