2018 Fall Favorites
Last year, my Fall Favorites post was one of my favorite posts to write last year, and it seems like it was one of your favorites to read, so I’m bringing it back! I love fall for so many reasons. I am all about cozy sweaters and apples and crunchy leaves and cinnamon.
Apple Hot Toddy Candle from Bath & Body Works
I love a candle. I love a candle SO much. There’s something about having a house that is warm and smells like fall. We get ones that have a strong cinnamon or nutmeg smell, so the house smells like baking. This one smells like a warm cup of apple cider.
Drunk Elephant Sukari BabyFacial
My skin has been back to its usual dryness. I have been loving this to clear up my skin! It burns for about the first 30 seconds, but then doesn’t anymore. I’ve seen the biggest change in my skin and can’t believe that I would ever stop using it, except then I see the pricetag. Eight. Goddamn. Dollars. Yikes.
Universal Thread High-Rise Skinny Jeans
From high-end to low-end, I’ve been really pleasantly surprised by the quality of Target’s jeans. Universal Thread makes jeans that fit me really well and that I’ve been enjoying wearing. I’m a ten there, and it fits in any of the cuts. I have been loving the high-rise skinny. It looks good with boots, or with flats, or with sneakers. They also come in fun colors!
Blanket Scarves
I have been loving curling up into a blanket scarf on my walk to work. My favorite ones are from Modcloth, linked here, but you can get these nearly everywhere.
Needle Felting
Caitlin, what a weird thing to enjoy! I recently started thinking that I needed to take up more hobbies (I know, I know). I decided on needle felting. It’s essentially stabbing a wad of wool over and over again until it forms felt shapes. I made this troll recently, using this kit from Amazon. Everything I needed was in the kit, and I had a great time. It’s very soothing just stabbing something with a needle over and over again. I’m already planning my next project!
Hiking & Day Trips
Last thing I’ve been loving is hiking and day trips near us. We’re working on exploring the area around us. We spent last weekend in Anaconda, MT and Butte, wandering and taking in the sights. We have some more coming up this fall and I can’t wait!
What are your favorites this fall?
