Holiday Gift Guide: For Mom
I bet that I’m not in the minority in saying that my mom holds our family together. She is my number one supporter (except maybe Charles) and always knows what to do or say. She also has been my tacky-meter for the whole adventure that wedding planning has been. So, I want to treat her to something good! My mom, ever practical, emails a list. It takes ALL of the guesswork out of it. IF you’re mom isn’t so generous in just telling you what she wants, I have put together a few little things that I think any mom would love to get from her favorite child.
FabFitFun Subscription
I’ve talked about FabFitFun on here a bunch and it’s really, truly my favorite subscription box. Because it’s more high-end lifestyle themed, I think it’s a great gift for moms. It also comes once a season instead of every month, so it’s a much more impactful box when it does show up.
Customized Map Locations Pillow
If you have some siblings, it can be cute to get this pillow customized with a heart or a star for each of her kids, spread out all over the US.
iRobot Roomba 690
We registered for one of these for our wedding. Everyone I know who has a Roomba loves the damn thing. It cleans your floors! It just does it without you having to tell it to! What?! This sounds like the best thing ever. Is mom always complaining about sweeping and vacuuming? Roomba. Boom.
Custom Dog Portrait
My mom loves her dog more than any of her children. It’s fine, I’m not bitter. There are many beautiful artists on etsy who make custom pet portraits that’s a perfect gift for someone who can’t get enough of their pet.
Lodge Enameled Cast Iron Dutch Oven
The holidays are often when it’s time to haul out the casserole pan. Lodge makes wonderful pans, and this pot is pretty, durable, and practical. It’s also a nice upgrade from an old-fashioned regular cast iron pan.
Nordic Ware Bundt Charms Pan
Like the cast iron dutch oven, I think that this would be great for a cute little show piece to end dinner! I also own a couple of Nordic Ware Bundt pans and they are easy to use, and I like them a ton. They also make a pretty gift, and they have so many different shapes and sizes.
Instant Pot Ultra 6 Qt 10-in-1
Finishing up the gift guide is the Instant Pot! My mom has one that she’s been using, and it’s great. This is the newest iteration of Instant Pot, and it is totally capable of replacing multiple kitchen appliances at once.
What are you getting your mom this year?
