#ManiMonday: Pastels and Glitter
This year, one of my goals is to standardize my content a little bit. Something that I miss a lot is spending some time on my nails. On that note, I'd like to get back into doing some #ManiMonday posts...at least a couple of times a month.
I recently started at a new job, and my student worker came in last week with the cutest manicure. It was a pastel-y pink, with one solid glitter nail on each hand. I loved it so much, I knew I needed to replicate it.
For this mani, all you need are two polishes, one pastel, and one glitter.
After using your choice of base coat, paint four nails with two coats of your pastel polish. For me, this was Orly's Breathable Nail Polish in TLC.
Using a makeup sponge (the cheap, triangular kind), pain the glitter nail polish onto the sponge. Dab the sponge onto your unpainted nail (I picked my ring finger). This will hang onto the clear nail polish, but deliver the glitter straight to your nail. Maximum glitter, minimum gloop. My glitter polish of choice is China Glaze's Marry a Millionaire
Finish with your choice of top coat.
Today is supposed to be #BlueMonday, the most depressing day of the week. With this fun mani, I don't think that today is so sad.
