Purple (Rain) Beauty

A year ago, Minneapolis lost one of our favorite sons when Prince unexpectedly passed away. It seems like the entire city has become overcome by Prince, almost as much as it had last year. At the same time, Paisley Park (Prince’s house) is really starting to get money-grubbing. It’s a weird place. So, I’m munching on some tasty Prince-themed donuts from GlamDoll and thinking about my favorite purple beauty products.

Aussie Total Miracle Dry Shampoo

I didn’t think that anything would unseat my love for Batiste dry shampoo. I ran out and needed a replacement, and grabbed this one, mostly because it was cheappppp. I love it. It doesn’t leave a bad white cast at all. If there is such a thing as a sheer dry shampoo, this is it. It does give your hair a lot of texture. It’s nearly sticky, so this will double as a texturizing spray, if that’s what you need too.

Foreo Luna Mini

I’ve talked about this before…I credit this little baby for making the biggest difference in my skin. This little baby is disposable, which makes me pretty sad, but the price reflects that pretty well. I’ve been using it for about a year and it’s still going strong. I use it a few times a week to really massage in my cleanser, or whenever I feel like I’ve really been abusing my skin.

Real Techniques Eye Brushes

I won’t rail on about this any more than I already have…go get some of these brushes. Preferably the eye brushes. The face brushes are good, but the eye brushes…they are the best. They stock them at Target now, so you can get them pretty easily.

Laqa & Co Lip Lube

I forgot how I was introduced to Laqa & Co. I picked this one up at a boutique in Minneapolis, but this wasn’t my first one. It’s in the shade Minotaur, which is a nice purple. If you’re looking to step a toe into the purple side of the pool, this is a good one to start with. It’s very wearable and easy to match.

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Eyeliner in Plushie

This was the first Urban Decay makeup that I used! It’s still a favorite. This is my second one. I like it because I find that black eyeliner can look harsh when I’m not wearing a really heavy eye look. This works spectacularly for that.  I have hazel eyes, and I like that this makes my eyes look greener. Next time you’re in Sephora, check it out!

There you have it, my favorite purple makeup. It’s my tiny little Prince tribute. What’s your favorite in purple beauty?
