L'Occitane Lotion Trio

I’m not sure if I’ve talked about my love for L’Occitane’s shea butter hand cream. I always have a tube somewhere in my house, and I’ve given them as gifts to probably a half-dozen people. I like so many things about it, from the adorable oil-paint-like packaging, to the smooth consistency and it’s long-term results. It’s great stuff. When I saw that L’Occitane was giving away a pack of little  lotions, I had to sign up.

I picked up my little stocking filled with a trio of hand lotions from my local L’Occitane store. I have only ever used the plain shea butter one, so it was nice to be able to try out two more of these. The 10mL tubes are so adorably twee and they are the perfect size for a handbag or travel case.

The three that you get are shea butter, almond, and cherry blossom. The first thing I noticed was that the shea butter has a different consistency than the other two, but all three provide the same results, so this does not seem to be an indication of effectiveness.

Shea Butter

I have one of these constantly somewhere in my house. It absorbs quickly into the skin and is 20% shea butter so it really does moisturize well. It even lasts through hand washing. It's wonderful. It has this baby-powder smell so that men can use it too, just in case your lad wants to borrow it. It is not as smooth or as liquid as the other two, but is excellent.

Almond

This smells just like marzipan! It's smooth and liquid and slides on nicely. It's got all of the benefits of the usual shea butter, but the smell is much better. It is a little bit feminine, but not terribly so, more like freshly baked goods. It's also the same scent as their Almond Shower Oil, which is a favorite of mine.

Cherry Blossom

Finally, there's this cherry one. It's extra lady-like. It has a really long-lasting smell that will haunt you all day, so if you don't like the scent, you should leave it behind. This one had the same texture as the almond one, but didn't have the same level of moisturization. It's still non-greasy, it just doesn't last too awful long.

L-R: Shea, Almond, Cherry Blossom
These are always going to part of my kit, I am sure. They're wonderful and I won't be giving them up any time soon.
